Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Rumsey Saigh and I am half owner of a real estate and insurance company in Arizona, Rattler Realty and Insurance.
What’s your why?
I started March 1, 2017. I started because no matter what I did or how hard I worked out or tried new eating habits, I only seemed to gain weight.
What is your personal definition of flexible eating or tracking macros?
I love eating whatever I want. Obviously you have to pay attention to the amount you eat in a sitting. Tracking my macros is very easy. After a few weeks it becomes second nature.
What was your diet like before tracking macros?
My diet before macros was trying to eat healthy, and although the foods I was eating were good for me, I would overeat without realizing it.
What has been your biggest breakthrough since tracking macros?
My biggest breakthrough since starting my macros is consistency. I trusted the process. I started noticing my pants were becoming too big, which felt amazing. I felt like I really haven’t sacrificed anything and I am finally getting the body I always wanted.
What are your goals regarding flexible eating and beyond?
My goal is to continue to hit my numbers for the rest of my life. Over time it becomes a lot easier. I will still enjoy my vacations, holidays, and occasional cheat days knowing I will jump back on my macro wagon the following day.
What are the most important guidelines you give yourself?
My important guideline is to continue to challenge myself to be in shape, feel more confident in myself, and never lose that determination I had when I first started.
What is the best piece of advice you wish you had when starting flexible eating that could help newbies?
My advice to everybody is to give macros a shot for at least two months and see if it works for you and, most of all, trust the PROCESS.
